More Verse (and a Limerick) from Club Members
Other Club members have shared their verses with us to enjoy.
Tim Medlicott writes:
"The Countdown staff are doing more
to get our groceries to the door
I go online and make a list
and check it twice for things i've missed
Then careful shoppers do the miles
of walking up and down the aisles.
There's fruit and veges fresh and good
and bread and meat and dairy food
and jam and honey biscuits too
It's really an eclectic brew.
Then all packed up in paper bags
and labelled with the stick on tags
It's then delivered to the door
so thank you, couldn't ask for more."

And, John Clarkson puts his mind to limericks (inspired by one of our guest speakers John Drummond) and titled "Vanquishing the Virus"
"We are a gregarious bunch.
We're missing our regular lunch.
One day we will return.
From speakers we'll learn
And catch up with news while we munch."
